The European Cardiomyopathy Center is the only medical center in Romania and one of the top five centers in Europe with the proper expertise, able to diagnose and treat this rare disease – the hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy — and ready to offer an outstanding approach within the HOCM treatment and surgery field. “HOCM Cardio surgery UpGrade” is the first mentoring platform in the field of HOCM surgery, aiming to achieve the specialization of surgeons in this niche surgery. Our mentoring program has as main objective the professional training of surgeons or future surgeons, and aspires to the development of an updated 21st century professional community, interconnected and ready to provide an UpGrade to the therapeutic standard of this complex pathology.

The study of medicine never stops. It evolves in the same rhythm with the research, science and technology. Cardiac surgery is definitely part of the disciplines with a high degree of complexity, requiring a permanent up-date and a lot of training. The motivation to achieve this complex process can only come from passion, later cultivated by theoretical study and by applying this knowledge in practice. During the training process, mentoring has the fundamental role of educating and training the surgeon, aspiring to the best version. Only this way can we progress, contributing to the progress of each field in which we choose to specialize.
